Prior to joiningWyndham Jade, Benearserved as Vice Present of Sales and Business Development for the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), where he restructured the sales and marketing efforts to support the needs ofmembership. BeforeIAVM, he spentsixyears in Austin, Texas, as Senior Vice President at the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).He led the effort to elevate the City of Austin’s brand to become a premier meetings and convention destination. His CVB business development experience extends beyond Austintothe Denver, Chicago, New Orleans and Washington, D.C., markets. Benear’s experiencealso includes working with tradeshow decorators such as Hargrove Inc. and GES and 15 years with Hilton Hotels.
