It is two thirty Sunday morning within the depths of New York. Cheaply insulated walls give way to the sound of an arguing couple at a low end apartment. A family portrait shatters while hitting the floor as the argument escalates. Startled by the noise of shattering glass and the shaking of his bedroom wall Jack awakens.

Dazed he begins positioning himself on the side of his bed to sit up while hearing a cry for help. Thoughts enter his mind I wish she would get rid of that looser. Echoes of breaking dishware and screams continue filling the room. Quickly gathering his thoughts Jack grabs his pants from the floor while making his way next door.

Controlling his emotions Jack stands before his neighbors door while knocking. Jack does not get an answer and continues listening to the commotion on the other side of the door. Knocking on the door harder a second time as the door flings open.
