Windy City Live C0-host Val Warner To Host 5th Annual Prom Fantasy Fashion Show

On Saturday, January 26, 2013, RH School of Performing Arts (RHSPA) presents the 5th Annual Prom Fantasy Fashion Show 2013 at the DuSable Museum in Chicago, IL.  Prom Fantasy is an opportunity for teens in the Chicagoland area to showcase exquisite gowns, couture fashions, and the latest menswear for Prom 2013.  Not your typical fashion show, Prom Fantasy is guaranteed to captivate the audience with imaginative scenes.  The prom inspired scenes open with the colorful fun of Carnaval, to the display of Sparkling Diamonds, , to mad scientists formulating the Perfect Prom Date, to the Four Seasons Of Love that is sure to leave the audience singing along, just to name a few. Along with the talented teen models, Val Warner, co-host on ABC 7’s “Windy City Live,” will be the guest Mistress of Ceremony for the evening.

Avlon Industries, a community partner for five years, will be awarding students with a total of $3,000 in academic scholarships.  RHSPA is awarding selected teens with Mr. and Miss Congeniality Awards, a $500.00, a gift certificate for a Prom Dress or Tuxedo.  

Mrs. Rhea A. Henderson, founder of RHSPA, and Mr. Jason Wilder, RHSPA Director of Modeling and Head Choreographer for Prom Fantasy, teamed together to create memorable scenes that captivates the audience.  The models are professionally trained to learn not just the techniques and etiquette of modeling, but also learn the importance of team building skills and the power of networking.

“We work diligently to ensure that the teens have the opportunity to learn refined runway modeling skills,” stated Wilder.  “We want to teach them the importance of taking constructive criticism, developing their own sense of style, achieving academic excellence, and building self-confidence.”
