“Chad brings some great experience managing customer accounts that also had a focus on children,” said James Scharnell, president of Quality Catering. “He’s demonstrated a commitment to customer service, and he shares our passion for childhood nutrition.”
Prior to joining Quality Catering, Fortinberry worked for Follett Library Resources as an inside sales consultant. In his four years at Follett, he managed more than 3,200 national accounts in the K-12 educational materials marketplace. His experience of working closely with educators, especially in early childhood development, allowed him to build meaningful and lasting relationships with his customers.
He will use that experience work with existing Quality Catering customers and prospects.
“I have been impressed to see how Quality Catering consistently provides a tasty, nutritious meal, prepared in a facility that meets strict USDA safe-food-handling restrictions, delivered hot and on time, all at a competitive price,” said Fortinberry.
Fortinberry holds a degree in international business with a double minor in finance and management from Columbia College. During his collegiate education he was an intern for a U.S. Congressman, a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, and competed in the NJCAA Men’s Tennis National Championship in Tyler, Texas. Fortinberry enjoys volunteering for Habitat For Humanity and Special Olympics Illinois. In his free time he enjoys traveling, sports and reading nonfiction.
“There are a lot of choices out there in regard to providing meals for your center,” Fortinberry said. “I took this job because I believe in Quality Catering’s product, culture and absolute commitment to nutrition. My number one goal is to help child care and adult day care centers learn about our leadership in nutritious meals that taste good, and how we can save our customers time and money.”
Quality Catering each day prepares and delivers more than 15,000 ready-to-serve hot meals, all prepared under the guidance of a Registered Dietitian and in kitchens that are inspected by the USDA each day to ensure food safety.
