Jan. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- NASHVILLE, Tennessee―Grammy Award nominated music producer Robert Venable, known primarily for his work with rock and pop artists, has been producing and mixing Billboard top 10 charting music groups, but in Nashville, the country music capital of the world.

Nashville, recently named "the new it city" by the NY Times, is primarily known for producing country music at its finest, often recording live (all musicians playing together) albums in a day or two.  Venable doesn't play by those rules, preferring multi-tracking as opposed to live recording, he sculpts sonic masterpieces one instrument at a time.

"I wasn't sure if I'd fit in [in Nashville] since I do things differently.  I record differently, I look differently, and I talk differently.  The music I produce tends to have my signature on it, people can tell it's my sound," said Venable.  "I pride myself on my drum tones.  Other producers hire me just for my drum sound, at times."

Robert co-owns his recording studio in Franklin, Tennessee with Lester Estelle Jr, a touring and studio drummer for acts including the Grammy nominated christian band Pillar, and country bands Neal McCoy, Eden's Edge, and currently Big & Rich.  They, both coming from a drumming background, have tailored their studio space to capturing the best drum recordings possible.

"Guitars, no problem.  Vocals, yes.  Drums are the hardest thing to sound good on a record, and I think we do it well," said Venable.

Venable has credits ranging from metal gods Megadeth, to R&B singer Tamia, and a plethora of christian rock bands to include Kutless, Disciple, Building 429. Seventh Day Slumber, and more.  Additionally, he has been working on a global level with artists from other countries (Switzerland and Australia, to name a couple).

"I've been blessed," said Venable.  "Being in Nashville hasn't hampered my ability to produce rock and pop music the way I want to, it has actually encouraged my creativity.  There is a whole new market of session players who are aching to unleash their inner rock talent!"

Though he lives in the ever-growing Music City, Venable says over 99% of his clients are from elsewhere and fly in to work with him.  His reputation and awards list prove he has what bands are looking for, as long as they remember to look for him in Nashville.
