There is a place for every veteran here to express themselves. I am going to be working with returning TBI veterans soon and this would be a great place for them to leave their poetry and writings and I hope to teach them to crochet so that they can improve their brain synapses. I will keep in touch with you on the grant writing process so that I can help some veterans here in Massachusetts. Poetry would be a great release for them. I have been published before and am a veteran also. So you will see me on your pages soon, I hope.
This is a great idea and a terrific site to get some great artwork at reasonable prices. It is laid out so that it is easy to navigate. Great job.
The mission of the American Veterans Arts and Crafts Gallery is to celebrate the veteran. We celebrate them by show casing their art or crafts to the public. We want every veteran to feel that he or she has a home here at A.V.A.A.C.G. no matter their skill level or their passion. We know where they have walked, we know where they feared for their very life and soul and we know where they have cried. We will do all we can do to help them on their journey to peace and home.

Behind the idea for the online gallery was the knowledge that veterans dealing with the aftermath of combat sometimes develop an interest in arts and crafts, or rediscover that interest, using the creative process counterbalance painful memories.
“I was really reluctant at first, but I started to get involved and the more you become involved the more it becomes your baby. Now it’s exciting. It brings more meaning to my life.
