Long Island University, one of the nation's largest, most comprehensive, private institutions of higher learning, issued a Request For Proposal to completely redesign the 6,000 square foot Student Clubs area, that houses 20 different organizations. This extensive project included a complete new space plan space to accommodate the various organization’
The space became an inefficient, cluttered area on campus due to the rapid growth of the University, creating a desperate need for professional design services. NY3 Design Group, known for its work in both planning and design, won out against other top New York firms for their unique combination of commercial design expertise and customer service. NY3 Design Group had a lofty goal to accommodate the needs of all 20 student clubs, while coupling with responsible, sustainable and informed design to see the vision become a reality. After planning meetings to interact directly with the student organizations, a concept was designed and approved.
