Merger of Sokolowski Investment Advisors and Nostrand Financial Planning

Jan. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Burlington, Vermont- Benjamin Nostrand of Nostrand Financial Planning has joined Sokolowski Investment Advisors effective January 2, 2013.  The new combined firm, WestView Investment Advisors, has in excess of $90 million in assets under management.

According to Roy Sokolowski, CEO of WestView Investment Advisors, this announcement was many years in the making.  “Our firm was established in 1998. We were looking for the right individual to add investment management depth to our growing firm.  Ben’s background of 25 years in the financial industry was spot-on and, more importantly, he shared our client centered values.”  For Nostrand, the firm’s Chief Investment Officer, the merger provides his clients with immediate access to a seasoned staff of professionals in a mid-sized Registered Investment Advisor environment.  Nostrand worked for State Street Bank, Fidelity and Putnam before founding his own firm in 2008.
