Jan. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- (ATLANTA, GEORGIA) Caribbean gospel acts who signed distribution deals with a Bahamas-based management group are entering 2013 with at least one resolution accomplished – getting their music directly available to the American market.
Keith Rolle, president of KLR Management Group confirmed that as a result of signing a distribution deal with Integra Interactive, the artists’ music is now readily available for purchase on the myMEDIA BurnBar™ at over 500 locations in the United States, plus additional kiosks internationally. As a result, he noted that the music is also on the MY|eebo Tablet via www.myeebo.com courtesy of ACM Digital, a sister company of Integra Interactive.

“We have to think beyond the region and what better way to do it than with a company that has already proven itself for years,” said Rolle during a recent press conference. “At KLR, our first wave of twelve acts, who hail from throughout the Caribbean, will certainly benefit from this because they can get the exposure they need to further their music.”

The ‘first wave’ includes Bahamians Stefan the Scientist, Peter Runks, Sunae Russell, Preston Wallace, C.R.E.A.M Int’l, Jaynelle, Denero Williams and Lynn Terez Davis, Jonathan Farrington, Avalanchee, Demetrius Stubbs and Chesternique. Also included are St. Martin twins making up the group Jumelle, The Congregation from California, and Nigel Lewis from Trinidad.

“Collectively they cover the musical genres of traditional, gospel, praise & worship, contemporary/pop, reggae, junkanoo, rake & scrape, soca, calypso, hip hop and r&b.” noted Rolle. “We are steadily working to give Caribbean artists a cost-effective system that ensures the availability of their music year round across the United States. Ultimately, supporters may not be able to travel to the Caribbean each year, but we can sure bring the Caribbean to our supporters.”

The myMEDIA BurnBar™ sold its first disk on May 27th, 2007 and surpassed the 1,000,000 mark for discs sold within its first 4 years of operation, making it the first music selling kiosk in the world to achieve this milestone. Officially launched on December 17th of this year, the MY|eebo Tablet is an 8” touch screen tablet powered by Android OS, and is a competitive platform for Caribbean artists to be discovered on and recognized globally in this digitally powered 21st Century age.
