The sun had set, the sound check was complete and the gymnasium was filling up at South Range High School as Kady began the National Anthem before the Wounded Warriors Project "Hoops for Troops" benefit varsity basketball game between the South Range Raider Girls and East Palestine Girls basketball teams. Flanked by uniform armed forces servicemen the crowd stayed on their feet and gave a thunderous applause as Kady delivered a rousing and passionate rendition of the National Anthem.

On the heels of the recent nomination by Operation Homefront as its 2013 Military Child of the Year the mission is even more clear and present.
