Vertex Financial donates both time and money to many good causes throughout the year and felt compelled to contribute to helping the families affected by Hurricane Sandy rebuild after the devastation caused by the storm. Vertex prides itself on the fact that they serve in order to enrich, empower and encourage others that are less fortunate.
“Craig Canon is one of the most giving individuals I’ve encountered in my career. This is just a sampling of what he has done over my 17 year tenure. It’s great working for such a great individual” commented Janette Bankston, Vertex Financial Vice President.
The Red Cross has stated that financial donations make the greatest and most immediate impact, helping to provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance to those affected by disasters like Hurricane Sandy. Nearly 9,000 Red Cross workers have been deployed from all 50 states to operations from North Carolina to Rhode Island, with the majority in Greater New York and throughout New Jersey. The Red Cross has served more than 6 million meals and snacks and distributed 2 million relief items such as clean-up kits and hygiene kits.
