SGS to Speak at the Sustainable Foods Summit

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 10, 2013 - The Sustainable Foods Summit is a series of summits that focuses on the leading issues the food industry faces concerning sustainability and eco-labels such as Organic, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, etc.

The seventh edition of this executive summit will take place in San Francisco on 22-23rd January 2013 and agenda will include topics like measuring environmental footprints, sustainable sourcing, adding social values to foods etc.  

SGS is pleased to announce that on 22nd January at 9:35 – 10:00 am SGS expert Michael Richardson, Sustainable Design Senior Project Manager at SGS North America Inc., will discuss sustainability index developments for major food and consumer goods retailers, and provide SGS’s perspective, addressing:

-       The context of sustainability indices today;

-       The development of sustainability indices with a majority component of food products; and

-       How index supplier data can be processed and the results used;
