One Restaurant, 50 Sandwiches—Does Life Get Any Better?

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 9, 2013 - I went out to dinner with a group last week to celebrate a friend’s birthday.  We decided to eat at Dillinger’s Taproom, a sandwich bar in Uptown Charlotte, located on N. Church Street.  I was, as usual, running late and, as usual, missed my exit, but, despite these setbacks, the night was enjoyable, thanks to Dillinger’s.

As I first entered, I couldn’t help but feel that I’d walked into MacLaren’s, the pub frequented on “How I Met Your Mother.”  With wooden tables and an expansive walls covered in flat screen televisions, it was the perfect environment to socialize with friends, enjoy 50 tap beers, and, for several diners on the night I visited, watch Notre Dame lose miserably on ten different television sets.  Ambiance aside, I was most impressed when I opened their menu and was welcomed with an impressive array of appetizers, salads, and pizzas.  What was especially remarkable, however, was their sandwich list, which features 50 unique sandwiches.  I ordered the Pimiento Grilled Cheese, which comes with tomato, but I also added bacon because, after all, what’s a grilled cheese without bacon?  To drink, I had an OMB Seasonal Beer, which paired very nicely with my sandwich.

I will certainly be back to visit Dillinger’s Taproom.  Who knows?  Maybe one day I can brag that I’ve tried every one of their 50 sandwiches!
