Jan. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Fresh off of a successful “Wish-A-Thon” at the first of January where Dodge City of McKinney helped raise over $ 25,000 for the Make-A-Wish North Texas Foundation, the North Texas Dealership in McKinney, Texas has set its philanthropy efforts to assist the FBI, and the National Child Identification Program in protecting our nation’s children by sponsoring the annual Texas vs The National All-Star Game at Eagle Stadium in Allen, Texas on February 2, 2013.

According to the FBI, one child in the United States goes missing every 40 seconds.  “As a father, the statistics are alarming and I want to be on the front lines helping keep our children safe” states Jim Proctor, General Manager, Dodge City of McKinney.

Dodge City of McKinney has become the title sponsor for The Texas vs. the Nation All-Star game which is a post-season college football all-star game that was established in 2006.  Each team consists of approximately 54 draft eligible players, representing Div I, II and III college football teams, from all over America and will be televised by Fox Sports.

This game will be the featured event for 2013 to help the American Football Coaches Association and the FBI to continue its effort in keeping our children safe.  Both organizations are utilizing the game’s platform as a way to distribute inkless fingerprinting identification kits.  The unique design of the National Child Identification Program's ID Kit makes it ideal for distribution by law enforcement. Police officers or other volunteers can hand the ID Kit to a parent or guardian for "at home" fingerprinting. The parent or guardian fingerprints his or her own child and keeps the identification card at home, decentralizing the process for law enforcement. Likewise, prevention information, such as anti-drug or anti-gang-related messages, can easily be distributed with the ID Kit. The National Child ID Program is the largest child identification effort ever conducted helping to protect more than 22 million children in the past 11 years.

Texas vs. the Nation began as an idea to bring a sense of rivalry and teamwork back to the all-star arena by pitting the best of Texas against the rest of the Nation.  The Texas team will be coached by legendary Dallas Cowboys hard hitting Bill Bates.

Each year the NFL, CFL and other professional football leagues send over 200 scouts, front office personnel, senior executives, and coaches to evaluate the talent and to attend special events.
