A1 Assets, Inc. awarded Responsible Recycling (R2) and ISO 14001 certifications

This marks a major step forward for the Orlando area company, who has made a notable commitment toward eco-conscious initiatives since their inception in 2001.

A1 Assets was recommended for both certifications after successfully completing a rigorous third-party audit in operational and environmental performance. The newly acquired certifications demonstrate the company’s continued dedication to environmental responsibility and delivery on environmental, health, and safety expectations for their staff, customers, suppliers, and regulators.

R2 status designates A1 Assets as a certified recycler. R2 establishes requirements relating to industry best practices for electronics recycling with an emphasis on reducing environmental and health impacts from improper recycling. R2 also requires electronics recyclers, or e-recyclers for short, to ensure toxic materials are managed safely and responsibly in every phase of technology lifespan – from creation all the way to final disposition.

ISO 14001 provides practical tools for companies and organizations looking to reduce and control their environmental impact and constantly improve their environmental performance. ISO 14001 sets out the criteria for environmental management systems for companies looking to responsibly discard their waste materials.
