Vail moved to Las Vegas in 1995. She is the founder of Mary Vail, OSG Publicist, a boutique public relations firm. Known as the “philanthropic publicist”, Vail’s humanitarian efforts are the focus of her public relations profession where she seeks ways to improve the educational, physical or socio-economic lifestyle of those less fortunate. A mandatory company policy is that all her clients must be willing to support community service, through whatever means they can provide.
With this core mantra, Vail has guided clients in developing community initiatives and stewardship programs. Her philanthropic endeavors have resulted in significant contributions to Las Vegas not-for-profits and community organizations, totaling over $400,000 in financial contributions, goods, services and man-hours, through art exhibits, fundraising dinners, raffles, auctions, major events and educational programs. Ms. Vail has also used her PR skills to bring much needed awareness to these causes through media interviews and feature stories.
Mayor Pro Tem Anthony made the presentation during Vail’s 14th annual food drive benefitting the Las Vegas Salvation Army food bank. The food drive is part of the national USA Weekend Magazine Make A Difference Day in collaboration with The Points of Light Foundation and Newman’s Own Foundation.
