Karaoke World Championships comes to Westfield Broward every Thursday

Jan. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Plantation, FL (Jan. 08, 2013) – Every Thursday from January 10th through April 25th Westfield Broward will host a qualifying competition for the Karaoke World Championships USA (KWCUSA) in JCPenney Court from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.

There will be 12 contestants each week with each contestant scored on Vocal and Sound Quality, Rhythm and Tempo, Vocal Expression, Stage Presence, Entertainment Value with the winner going directly to the KWCUSA National Championships in Cincinnati, Ohio later in 2013 with hotel and airfare paid for by Westfield Broward.

Wendell Payne, President of KWCUSA says, “We are excited to team up with Westfield Broward mall to provide this unique opportunity to singers. The combination of great venue and a national qualifier is a chance that singers will take advantage of from the entire state of Florida and surrounding states.”

Weekly prizes for first and second place winners include a dinner cruise for two on the Jungle Queen, dinner for two at Shorty’s Restaurant and swag bags. In addition there will be tons of surprises from retailers each week and every performance will be filmed and aired on the mall’s youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/WestfieldBroward) the following Tuesday – so you can see what you missed if you weren’t able to make it.” said Andrew Martineau, Marketing Director – Westfield Broward.
