PRLog - Jan. 8, 2013 - RALEIGH, N.C. -- (Carrboro, NC) -- "Gesture,” an exhibition of all new works by Raleigh-based artist Jason Craighead, will open at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro on Friday, January 11, during an opening reception to be held from 6-9 p.m.
Forever Burn by Jason Craighead
A new documentary on the artist, featuring some of the works in the exhibition, will be screened at The ArtsCenter on January 25. Filmmaker and visual artist Patrick Shanahan, created the 35-minute film, which is entitled “Gesture Of A Man.”
"I find myself continuing to explore the tension between space and information, the quiet and the thunder, or patience and hurry,” he says. “I feel things moving toward a more minimal delivery from self to surface, always conceptually discussing the power of thinking and believing that something is or is not ‘real,’ or if any of it ever existed in the first place. It is all life, breath – love."
The show will remain up through January 31. The ArtsCenter is located at 300-G East Main Street, Carrboro, NC 27510 (919-929-2787)
