PRLog - Jan. 8, 2013 - Rob Vickery, Regional Vice President for MSI, has been granted a position on the Board of Directors for a leading, Los Angeles-based non-profit organization, International Trade Education Programs (ITEP). ITEP introduces students to careers in international trade, transportation and logistics. ITEP unites business people and educators to prepare students for a meaningful place in the world of tomorrow. Their mission is encouraging students to "Think Globally, Earn Locally".

Rob first started working with ITEP in 2011, when he was the North America Director for a major international bank. During this time he has created numerous opportunities to help ITEP students with defining their careers, including speaking to Gardena and Banning High School about his experiences, one-on-one coaching, workshops and holding classes on setting up new businesses. Rob is also the Co-Chairman of the Gardena High School Global Leadership Academy, which provides over 500 students with industry-led projects and programs so that students are connected to promising opportunities and learning experiences in international trade.

Rob said, "The past two years, which I have spent working with ITEP have become the most rewarding in my professional life. I am so proud to help shape the lives of so many fantastic young adults across Southern California. I have come from some-what humble beginnings and I truly enjoy sharing my own experiences that have provided me with the many fantastic opportunities in my career."

He joined MSI in November 2012, which is a leading provider of global workforce mobility solutions for many blue-chip clients across the globe. Their services include global talent management consultancy, compensation and payroll administration and international tax and compliance management.

Rob commented; "the global mobility industry really fits with ITEP's core strategy and represents an exciting and growing employment for students to consider when leaving school/college. I am honored and incredibly enthusiastic about presenting this industry to ITEP students." Timm Runnion, MSI's Founder and President, also mentioned "We are very proud of what Rob has achieved with ITEP and fully support his work with this great organization. We look forward to helping him deliver his goals for ITEP and its students".

Amy Grat, CEO of ITEP, said "We are delighted to have Rob play a greater leadership role with our organization.  He has done a fantastic job with the students of Gardena High School, and we look forward to harnessing his enthusiasm and global expertise to inspire even more young people to ‘think globally, and earn locally”.

Rob and MSI will be hosting a table at the 13th ITEP Annual Scholarship Dinner, which is being held on March 20th 2013 at the Port of Los Angeles San Pedro. You can find out more about ITEP by visiting www.itepinc.org
