Dr. Saario Develops FasciaBlade®

Jan. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Chiropractic care is a growing branch of health care. It is gaining more and more patients in the United States, Canada and Australia due to the countless of positive testimonials about it. This type of health care does not make use of surgeries or medication to treat neuromuscuskeletal problems. Instead, chiropractors manipulate the spine, joints and tissues. They also recommend a specific diet and a set of exercise routines to help patients recover and improve their overall health.

Recently, Dr. Scott Saario of ChiroCarolina developed FasciaBlade®, an IASTM (instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization) tool. The prototype produced by a local manufacturer in Charlotte, NC is made of 17-4ph stainless steel.

Chiropractors usually use the IASTM technique, Graston®. However, Dr. Saario, who is certified in the use of Graston®, wanted a more versatile tool for his practice; hence, the development of FasciaBlade®. The IASTM tool is designed for use in clinical practice by chiropractic physicians as well as physical therapists. US patent is currently pending.
