Mark S. Robinson, CPA/ABV of KAF Named to NASBA's Continuing Professional Education Committee

Jan. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Mark S. Robinson, CPA/AVB,  founding member at KAF, has been named to the National Association of State Boards Accountancy’s (NASBA) Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Committee.

Robinson has over 30 years of experience in public accounting. He is actively engaged in providing accounting and auditing, tax, and advisory services to clients as a team leader. Additionally he developed an interest in business valuations early in KAF’s history and consequently has become the partner in charge of KAF Business Valuation Services. Related to this discipline he has held the CPA/ABV (accredited in business valuation) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 2000.

In December 2006 Robinson was appointed by then Governor Romney to serve the Commonwealth as a member of the Commonwealth’s Board of Public Accountancy. He was reappointed to a five year term on the Board by Governor Patrick in September, 2010. He served the Board as Secretary in 2008 and as Chairman in 2009 and has recently been reappointed as Secretary.

Robinson’s passions outside of KAF include fitness, fitness events for charity and home improvement projects. He holds a BSBA Magna Cum Laude with a major in accounting from Suffolk University. He currently holds securities Series 6 and 66 licenses from the Securities and Exchange Commission. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the MA Society of CPAs.
