So, to kick off 2013, Pollo Campero has great news for Houston restaurant goers! Pollo Campero’s four Houston-area locations will debut five meals for under 500 calories packed with authentic Latin flavors but not packed with calories.

Pollo Campero has built a reputation for using the freshest ingredients with all meals made to order in house. With orders ready in minutes, restaurant goers can expect healthy options for lunch or dinner. The new five meals under 500 calories will feature combinations of Pollo Campero’s classic offerings including:

•   Campero’s Chicken Fiesta Bowl mixed with pickled red onions, refreshing cilantro, crunchy tortilla strips, black beans, queso fresco and white rice for just 470 calories.

•   A quarter of marinated, Peruvian Grilled Chicken (breast and wing), a generous helping of white rice and black beans, and freshly made cucumber salad with tomato and cilantro for 466 calories.

•   Guests can also choose two pieces of the traditional chicken (breast and wing) with a heart healthy cucumber and quinoa salad for just 489 calories.

•   Additionally, taco lovers can enjoy our Taco Trio starting at 398 calories for three of the veggie tacos or a combination of Chicken Molcajete, Veggie and Yucatan Carnitas for 492 calories.

•   Lastly, Pollo Campero’s Empanada Trio with the popular Cubana Pork, Spicy Chicken and Tamarindo Chicken empanadas is also on the new healthy menu at just 485 calories.

These new combinations will be available exclusively at Pollo Campero’s Houston-area concept store locations at 4701 Washington Ave., 6324 Texas Highway 6 in Missouri City, 702 West Bay Area Blvd. in Webster, and at 557 S. Mason Road in Katy.
