Musical Event to Celebrate the Joy and Integrity of Consecrated Life

January 27 concert will feature 70-voice choir, vocal and instrumental soloists
 
Jan. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Milwaukee, Wis.,– In anticipation of the World Day for Consecrated Life, religious communities of women and men in the Milwaukee Archdiocese will present a musical celebration on Sunday, January 27 at 3:00 p.m. in historic St. Joseph Chapel.

“In Joyful Hope” will feature a 70-voice massed choir along with the School Sister of St. Francis Chapel Singers and vocal and instrumental soloists. The concert is free and open to the public.

“Presenting this concert is an opportunity for women and men religious of the Archdiocese to give witness to our life in a manner that reflects the integrity and joy of our call and our ministry,” said Sister Mary Jane Wagner, Director of the School Sisters of St. Francis Music Ministry and an organizer of the event. “We welcome everyone to join us as we sing and play as a joyful witness of our faith and our lives.”

St. Joseph Chapel is located at St. Joseph Center, the international motherhouse of the School Sisters of St. Francis, 1501 S. Layton Blvd. (Greenfield Avenue at 27th Street), Milwaukee. Ample free parking is available in the School Sisters of St. Francis lot at 29th Street and Orchard Street.
