Jan. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- With the new congress sworn in, and preparing to begin debates on the next batch of issues, from raising the debt ceiling to the confirmation of Secretary of Defense nominee, Chuck Hagel, for a select handful of representatives a new piece of business will soon be coming their way - the time travel physics report of Marshall Barnes, R&D Eng. Paradox Lost: The True Geometries of Time Travel will be finished within days and ready to be shipped to a select and unnamed group of elected officials with the purpose of educating them on the new reality for the possibilities of time travel. The effort, in part, is because no one else could do it and it needs to be done to set aside any irrational concerns that may be raised as the race to build a time machine could be in its final set of laps. Marshall Barnes himself begins the last phases of experiments that will turn his Verdrehing Fan™ prototype into a full fledged time machine, this year. Ronald Mallett, his competitor from the University of Connecticut, has exactly nine years before he believes he'll be able to finish his own project in time travel, a fact that puts him in a distant second place, which Marshall capitalized on when he announced he would win the race this year on Coast To Coast AM with George Noory.

The report will deal with the inaccuracies that many popular physicists promote, including time travel paradoxes, which Marshall suspects may make some members of Congress or elsewhere in the government, want to ban time travel research to prevent something effecting the past which would then change the present.

"Before anyone starts freaking out over some stupid idea they got from Looper or MIT's Ed Farhi, I've got to step in and emphatically prove that time travel paradoxes are impossible - and I literally mean prove impossible, and anyone that says otherwise doesn't know what the Sam Hill they're talking about. I don't care how many letters they have behind their name, and that goes triple for Stephen Hawking..."

Stephen Hawking has tried to rule time travel out, unsuccessfully, a number of times and Marshall has proved him wrong on each account, including an in classroom experiment where Marshall tested an example that Hawking featured on his Discovery Channel TV special, Into The Universe with Stephen Hawking. It was the first time ever that anyone proved Stephen Hawking wrong with a physical experiment and resulted in the paper, Experimental and Theoretical Analysis of Chronology Protection Conjecture Failing On The Discovery Channel.

Marshall insists that the Paradox Lost debunking of time travel paradoxes is its most powerful element, taking numerous examples of time travel paradoxes and pointing out exactly where the obvious flaws are. He not only points out the flaws and proves geometrically and quantum mechanically, why they are flaws, but the psychological reasons behind why they were made in the first place..

"That's what I bring to physics that physicists don't," he added. "I have a background in consciousness research and psychology. I invented technocogninetics, which is the study of how things effect cognition without feedback and it's been proved against tests from the BBC/Open University study on personality effecting Necker cube observations, and the David Eagleman/Baylor College of Medicine study on duration dilation, not to mention that I also tied Oppenheimer's comments about sensory perception and the ability to solve physics problems, into the reason why some physicists believe in time travel paradoxes. As a conceptual theorist I can look at the big picture, and see how the little details that are hypothesized, effect the actual potential of the concept having any validity, and I can tell you emphatically - time travel paradoxes are part of time travel fiction, not time travel physics."

Marshall is currently preparing to do a nationwide tour to promote his research and the competition between he and Ronald Mallet, which is known as the Great Time Machine Race. The competition has its own web site which can be found at http://www.thegreattimemachinerace.weebly.com . The tour currently has stops at the Cambrdige Science Festival, The World Steampunk Fair, and the All-Con science fiction festival in Dallas, Texas, among many more being organized.
