Nirupa is lucky little girl. She has a very interesting life traveling all around the world with her mom's archaeological expeditions, but still she feels very lonely. She dreams of meeting her father and having a close friend.
On her tenth birthday she receives a mysterious-looking book sent to her from her father along with a letter. Nirupa then learns that she is special. Her parents are special too and she is born to fulfill an ancient and grim prophecy.
This seems such an heavy burden for a little kid and her mom decides she won't let Nirupa keep the book. She even decides to refuse her husbands' will about a medieval castle in the South of Spain that he has left to Nirupa.
But can people really oppose their destiny? Will her mother be able to protect Nirupa from what has already been decided for her long ago? And above all can a little girl find the courage to go through trials and adventures and emerge stronger and wiser then when she started?
Nirupa and the Book of Shadows is a book about family, bonds, friendship and kindness where magic and adventures take the reader in a wonderful quest for truth, where character is built through hardship and free choices.
