Directed by Sean Newman, Andrew Snider, and Stephanie Neuman
We are looking for a large cast of Middle School and High School students (6th Grade-12th Grade). There are also 3 roles available for children ages 9-11 (2 girls, 1 boy). Aside from those three roles, anyone who is auditioning MUST be no older than 19 years old and must be a full time Middle School or High School student.
Auditions will be held at the Bowen Center for the Arts on Saturday, February 2nd from 9 AM-1 PM and Sunday, February 3rd from 1 PM-4 PM. Callbacks will also be held at the same location on Sunday, February 3rd at 4 PM. If you audition on Sunday, please be prepared to stay for a callback if you are asked.
NOTE: For those who are auditioning on Saturday, we have to be out of the Arts Center no later than 1 PM. We must ask you to arrive for auditions no later than 12:15 PM.
You are asked to prepare a short musical theatre song. Given that there is virtually no dialogue in Les Misérables, this song should not only show off your vocal ability and range, but your acting ability as well. Bring your own backing track, and accompanist will not be available. Please, no acapella. If you have a résumé and/or headshot, we request that you bring it.
We ask that you understand the commitment this show requires before you audition. Given the amount of music and its difficulty, you will have to give 110% during rehearsals and you will have to work on your material outside of rehearsal.
A PARENT MUST BE PRESENT AT AUDITIONS TO FILL OUT THE REQUIRED PAPERWORK. IF YOUR PARENT IS NOT THERE, YOU WILL NOT BE AUDITIONED.
Rehearsals will be Sunday, Monday, and Thursday evenings beginning February 21st. A full rehearsal schedule will be available at the auditions. There are 6 performances scheduled from May 3rd-11th.
