The International Driver Document or International Driving License is an official translation of a national or domestic driver's license, which allows motorist to drive in different territories without experiencing difficulties with various language barriers. This International Driver’s License, however, is valid only with the original, Government issued driver's license, which must be currently valid and not suspended or expired. The IDL translation also indicate that you are a holder of a valid driving license from your home country, fulfilling the right for a person to drive in another country when accompanied by an original and valid driver's license.
There are few tips for resolving problems while driving abroad. If the person is going to a country where he doesn’t know the language then he must familiarize himself with the meaning of the street signs. He must get an International Driving Document. It is important to carry the IDL along with the valid driving license from his native country. Some countries have a minimum and maximum driving age. So it is important to find the driving age limit. Few countries require road permits to use on their divided highways, and they will fine those found driving without a permit. If a person rents a car, then he must make sure he has liability insurance. If he is not having it, this could lead to financial disaster.

1. Translation of IDP presented in a form of a passport size booklet translated into multiple international languages.
2. For security cause a plastic card with a size of credit card accompanies the booklet, which also extends driver's identity information.
