Jan. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Drummonds, London, UK, 5th Jan 2013 – The Spittal Shower by Drummonds almost makes me reconsider my deeply rooted love for bath tubs. Is it just us Brits who tend to think of bath tubs as inherently European and showers as American? Possibly, but this particular design clearly tells a story of Old World charm and luxury.

It is inspired by 1920′s classic bathroom designs but built with 21st century plumbing, a waterfall shower head plus four uprights and fully thermostatic controls. This is, indeed, a work of art. Drummonds tell us that it is cast in an iron foundry, the tray is enameled using a dry fit process and the exterior is hand finished to order. The complex system of pipe work and jets is hidden in the solid brass frame which is cast in sections before being bright plated in nickel or chrome and then hand-polished. So does this go in the bathroom or the bedroom? All opinions welcome.
