With 2011 hits like "Peso" and "Purple Swag" he broke new ground into the rap world. It wasn't long before he was on every rap blog or on the cover of every hip hop magazines. Those two songs appeared on his mixtape, Live.LoveA$AP, which is a major contributor to his success.
Now on Jan 15th A$AP Rocky will release his debut studio album. It's going to be a great way to start off the New Year. The album contain features from prominent rappers such as, Drake, 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar, Joey BadA$$, Yelawolf, Big K.R.I.T., Gunplay, and many more.
The album also contains dope productions from Hit-Boy, Noah "40" Shebib, T-Minus, Joey Fatts, and so many more. A$AP Rocky always seem to find a bass banging beat that compliments his vocals and flow. With tight production like this, his album will likely do very well.
A$AP Rocky had a difficult childhood, he lost his father to the penal system at an early age then a year later his brother was slain in the streets. It all weighed heavy on the young Harlem knight and pushed him to take rapping seriously. Left with just him and his mother, times only got tougher. They were homeless for a time being before moving to Englewood, NJ which is a stonesthrow from Harlem.
Rocky formed a team, A$AP Mob, from his old Harlem neighborhood then positioned himself in the rap game. In 2011 his first mixtape Live.LoveA$AP garnered public acceptance in a short time. With this success he propelled his career and signed a recording deal with Polo Grounds Music/RCA Records, bringing along his team.
