Jan. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- After all the holiday food, there are more people turning to dermatologists than ever before. That is the time of the year nobody really watches what they eat, and the season of visiting family members. The change of climate, diet and environment can all trigger acne breakouts, and even those who are normally able to manage their skin problem are experiencing symptoms. Some researchers have finally revealed the best option to fight acne through diet. Find out the details below.

Acne Skin Diet Basics

The most important thing to remember when fighting with pimples is that you need to support your skin from the inside and the outside as well. You need to take in different minerals and vitamins, as well as cleanse your face and other areas two times a day using specific products designed for your blood and skin type. In the winter, it is very important to provide your immune system with a boost of vitamins from natural sources.

Raw Food Day

It is a good idea to have a complete raw food day after eating loads of processed meals for too long. Do not go for raw potatoes; but mushrooms, fruit and salads would be a good idea. Having a couple of bananas a day is also boosting your hormonal and immune system. Combining this diet with at least eight glasses of mineral water or purified water will help your body flush out toxins it does not need.

No More Processed Food

If you are not a healthy eater, you have to at least make sure that you eat freshly prepared meals at the restaurants. You can get unprocessed seasoned chicken wings at the supermarket and – without using oil – roast them in a bag. Always check for the E numbers when selecting ready or frozen meals.

Acne and Oily Food

Oily seeds and meals can trigger pimple and acne breakouts. You have to reduce your intake of fat by opting for a healthier meal. Oily seeds might be full of minerals and vitamins, but they are not too good for your acne skin. Just eat them with moderation if you cannot resist. Pretzels and biscuits can also contain more oil than you think, so keep away from them.

Hormonal Skin Problems and Sugar

When the body’s sugar level rapidly increases, you will find that your hormone system will become imbalanced. Make sure that if you eat sweets, they are made with natural sugar or opt for an apple, orange, maybe kiwi fruit instead as your system will process fruit sugar faster.
