Turftenders Participates in Holiday Food Drive

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 4, 2013 - Turftenders Landscape Services is excited to announce its participation in the 2012 holiday food drive sponsored by Professional Property Management Inc. and The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. This year, Turftenders Landscape Services was able to donate 357 meals to support the Kids Meal Program which focuses on providing meals to children after school, on weekends, and during summer break.

     Overall, the holiday food drive was able to donate 21,589 meals to families in need the week before Christmas. With six branches in Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, Wilmington, and Southern Pines, the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina has provided support to 34 counties throughout the state for over 30 years. Last year, The Food Bank was able to provide over 47 million pounds of food to families in need.
