Award-Winning Red House Group Recognized for Economic Development Website

Jan. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- RALEIGH, NC – Red House Group, a Raleigh-based marketing, web and interactive design firm, received a 2012 Silver W3 Award for its creation and development of the Orange County Economic Development (OCED) site http://growinorangenc.com/.

The W3 Awards honor creative excellence on the web, and recognize the creators behind the award-winning work which includes websites, marketing programs and video work. The program is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms.

Red House Group’s Orange County Economic Development submission was among more than 3,000 total award entries for the program that is now in its 7th year. “Being the recipient of this award is confirmation that the level of work we produce is indicative of what you’d expect from emerging market leaders,” said Jenny Taylor, Red House Group President and Founder. “It also highlights our adaptability to serve segments outside healthcare, like business to government,” she continued.

The importance of utilizing web-based tools to impact growth in economic development regions is growing. Red House Group has helped elevate other local government websites in the Triangle including, Capital Area Workforce Development Board, Triangle Worksource and Workforce Ready.

Red House Group was charged with creating a site that increased the awareness of Orange County and its attributes as a coveted business location. The County’s numerous amenities were compiled and organized into a comprehensive resource that is intuitive and visually appealing. Navigating the site, visitors are able to search categories for information specific to their interests including:

-  Growing Business – Information on business, labor and workforce and agriculture

-  Sites & Buildings – Relocation and expansion resources

-  Livability – Education, arts & culture, healthcare and transportation

Integral to this award, was the formal expansion of the firm’s core services to include an Interactive Development team.
