HELPIS Celebrates the Season of Giving With Gratitude and Thanks

Jan. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- BURLINGTON, MA – In accordance with the new year, HELPIS, a Burlington-based non-profit founded to encourage and promote good and charitable deeds by groups and individuals, and to create the observance of Help Me Help Someone celebration during the month of May, aims to celebrate with gratitude and thanks to all who have helped to further the mission of the organization.

“While at HELPIS we believe that every season should be a time for giving, our mission is especially relevant at this time of year,” said HELPIS founder Joyce Deliyiannis. “We want to celebrate the season as a time for giving and sharing with those who are less fortunate and to honor those who are willing to accept help when they need it.”

The last year has been a very exciting one for the burgeoning non-profit, which has been involved in several community events and fundraisers, gained support from a growing group of “HELPISTs,” and garnered positive interest for its activities. Here are some reflections from a young HELPIST:

“Joyce … You are so inspirational to me and the people around you! In my generation, I feel that kids my age strive to do so much and achieve so many goals! I know I myself have goals that seem so unreachable I don’t even know how to start them! You had a goal and just with a little bit of kindness you started something huge that changed lives! This stands for more than just what it was started for. But it’s an inspiration that you can do whatever you put your mind to! … You’re showing people the right way and that dreams really can come true! You have brought HELPIS so far along. . . You showed us that all you need is some Hope, Strength, Willingness, and Kindness to achieve any goal! I want to thank you for been a role model to everyone around you.”
