Jan. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- The First Annual Journaling Expo, an online event, is scheduled for Sunday, January 13, 2013, from 3pm to 6pm EST.

The event is sponsored and produced by three leading experts in personal journaling, and includes tips and teachings from several additional journal writing gurus.

Mari L. McCarthy of CreateWriteNow.com, Sam Lytle of EasyJournaling.com, and Yvonne Root of JournalInABox.com are the featured speakers. Hosted by Lytle, the afternoon of journaling explorations includes teleseminars, question and answer sessions, free bonuses, and a Twitter chat (#JournalingExpo).

McCarthy starts off the afternoon with a discussion about what journaling is, and is not. Though similar in ways to blogging, McCarthy emphasizes that journal writing is a personal, private practice and tool for successful living.

Following McCarthy’s presentation, Yvonne Root presents a session on Journaling and Productivity, with secrets for using a personal journaling practice to reach goals, both personal and professional.

The afternoon’s final presentation comes from Sam Lytle, who will discuss key reasons to journal and how to fit journaling into an already busy life.

All three speakers will be available throughout the event for discussion and answering questions.

Additional information about journaling is available at the event website, including a number of videos about creating and keeping a journal and blog posts on the subject, shared by a wide variety of journaling experts.

The Expo is recommended for:

Anyone interested in learning more about personal journaling;
Journalers who would like to interact with other people who journal;
People who want to reach a goal;
People who want to arrive at a better understanding of a situation;
Those who seek greater self-discovery;
Anyone who wants to increase self-confidence;
People looking for ways to be happier.

Expo host Sam Lytle is founder of Easy Journaling (http://easyjournaling.com/), a site dedicated to making personal journal and diary keeping easier in our busy lives, especially through mobile and online applications. He works in the civil engineering industry, is an avid journaler, and loves spending time with his wife, son, and daughter. His most recent work, Modern Journaling, is an ebook guide to help journalers learn how to keep entries on the gadgets and devices they use every day.

Mari L. McCarthy is The Journaling Therapy Specialist, founder of Create Write Now (http://createwritenow.com/), home of Journaling for the Self of It™. Mari offers counseling and encouragement to journal writers through her many online journaling resources, as well as private consultations. CreateWriteNow’s Personal Journal Blog (http://www.createwritenow.com/personal-journal-blog/) provides articles on how starting and sticking to a daily pen to page Journaling Practice can help you access your inner intelligence and transform your life. Mari offers lots of Journaling Free Stuff with free Journaling eBooks and free samples from her 15 eBooks, including Start Journaling and Change Your Life in 7 Days, and Who Are You? The 7 Day Journaling Challenge.

Yvonne Root is the co-owner of Journal in a BoxTM (http://journalinabox.com/), a business built on the premise that people can and do benefit from regular use of their journals. She is known for her unorthodox stance that regular journal writing doesn’t necessarily mean daily journal writing. She believes your journal is such a powerful tool you need to put it down occasionally. Yvonne also believes the pen in your hand is worth much more than two keyboards under your fingertips.

There is no charge to attend the online Expo. Participants may register at http://journalingexpo.com.
