PRLog - Jan. 3, 2013 - A popular annual Cornish festival has secured its first ever headline sponsor to help the event reach a wide audience.
Cornish Gems & St Ives September Festival
The 2013 St Ives September Festival will see major backing from luxury holiday specialists – Cornish Gems, which will mark the beginning of a long-standing, five year relationship.
With Show Of Hands’ Steve Knightley and Phil Beer as Patrons, the St Ives September Festival will take place from Saturday September 14 – Saturday September 28 2013, with tickets on sale in the spring.
Cornish Gems’ support comes at a crucial time when the Festival’s website needs to be rebuilt, branding evolved and materials such as banners and flags reproduced.
St Ives September Festival’s Chairman, Dave Brotherton, is delighted that Cornish Gems’ support will enable this:
“We are extremely grateful to Cornish Gems for coming on board as our headline sponsor for 2013 onwards. Over the years, the committee of volunteers have worked tirelessly to build the St Ives September Festival into a celebration of music, arts and literature. Cornish Gems’ financial support over the forthcoming five years will help cement the future growth and success of the festival. There are many facets that we wish to develop, starting with a new website and we are looking forward to working with such a well-respected Cornish company.”
Cornish Gems is Cornwall’s leading one-stop holiday letting solution, providing a fully managed service for property owners - encompassing everything from marketing through to maintenance and housekeeping.
Managing Co-Director Julianne Shelton is thrilled that Cornish Gems will play an integral part in supporting the future growth of this popular festival:
"We are proud of Cornish Gems’ achievements within such a competitive industry where new ideas and a fresh approach are vital. The committee behind the St Ives September Festival are also forward thinking, so together we will make a winning team. St. Ives is where Cornish Gems started trading 6 years ago and over 50% of our “Gems” are located within the borough so we are delighted to be supporting an event that is so vital to its community. We hope that the 2013 festival will be enjoyed by more visitors and locals than ever before and over the next five years Cornish Gems’ on-going support will help drive awareness to bring more and more people to the event.”
The festival has grown and evolved since its origins in 1978. It now boasts ticket sales in the region of 9500, with visitors from around the UK and overseas attending the eclectic mix of events that take place over two weeks, seeing headline acts in 2012 such as Kate Rusby and Billy Bragg.
