Jan. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- GOOGLE GLASSES-
Do you want to take a picture of the ball swinging towards you as you prepare to play the stroke in your tennis game?

Do you want to see the route to the nearest cafe in a new city laid out in front of your eyes while you walk towards it? Yes! Well, get in line. Google Glasses, the pet project of Google co-founder Sergei Brin, is expected to reach the hands of consumers in 2013. So far we know that several Google employees are using these glasses almost on a daily basis.

In September, fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg wore the glasses during her show in New York and filmed the event from her perspective.
Earlier in June, Google put together a show where para-jumpers filmed their stunt with Google Glasses on, while falling from the sky!

The tiny computer inside it runs on Android operating software. If it works as intended, it could be the gadget of the decade.

FLEXIBLE PHONE-
We know for sure that flexible displays are almost ready. Samsung, which can working on screens that can bend, will show a 5.5-inch screen with the high-definition resolution of 720P  at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Nokia and LG are also working on flexible displays, it is possible that we could see one of these screens pop up on a mobile phone in 2013.

The rumours are that this phone could be one of the flagship Galaxy smartphones, possibly Galaxy S IV, from Samsung.

The benefits of a bendable screen are huge. It will allow companies to rethink the complete design of the modern mobile device. Even if the design doesn't change, it will help companies make phones that don't shatter or are less easily breakable.

OCULUS RIFT-
In film Gamer, which was released in 2009, Is a technology that allows the players to virtually enter the game, with action taking place around them instead of in front of them.

Since the release various technology companies are chasing after the holy grail of true 3D video gaming. One firm is likely to release a head-mounted gadget called Oculus Rift that may give immersive video gaming a new meaning rumor has it that this revolutionary 3D headset will be available at some point in late 2013.

BASIS BAND-
What is the next 'big thing' after the smartphone revolution? Many experts believe it is going to be about health monitors.

And if you take a look at the Basis Band, you can see why! although not revolutionary in its design there are watches available on the market already that monitor heart rate and steps you take but this particular band has so many health benifits and monitiors it makes it unlike anything available in 2012.
Basis Band simplifies it all. With basis band there are no chest straps or fiddling with apps. It is just a watch-like gadget that you can wear round the clock.

More important is what it can do. With its array of sensors, Basis Band can monitor your heart rate with the help of a blood flow sensor, quality of sleep with the help of an accelerometer, Quality of breath and bone activity it calculates sweat level through a perspiration monitor and skin temperature. While it is possible that Basis Band, which can be pre-ordered, may not see wide availability, more similar monitors are likely to launch in 2013.

DIGITS-
If you no your movies and have watched Iron Man, or Avenger, you will agree that the way it is possible to personally interact with machines is ultra-cool.

With just a flick of a wrist or pointing at something to click you have full control without a controller. It is possible that gamers among you may be able to do the same by the end of this year, available on all games so you can play play something like Call Of Duty with just sensor equipment leaving behind the controller for a truly personal gaming experience.

Microsoft's research division is working on a wearable wristband that allows you to use hand-gestures to perform actions on screen. In a video demo posted by Microsoft, a user was able to perform various tasks on the screen, including moving objects with just gestures. Unlike Kinect, which also registers hand gestures, Microsoft Digits doesn't require any direct line of sight to connect to sensors.

While Microsoft says that it has several usage, the technology is most likely to be a part of a gaming controller. If it is the controller for Xbox 720, we may get it in 2013.
