Please Sign the online Youth Resolution and Join the Movement

Jan. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- (January 2, 2013) – In efforts to counteract tragedies of youth violence with achievement, dozens of leaders have created the 2013 Youth Resolution Project that encourages mentorship. #YouthResolution (YouthResolution.com) is a community partnership program that unites various non-profit organizations, adult mentors with youth who want to make a difference. The goal of this program is to collectively influence youth to make positive choices, think strategically, and resolve to make a beneficial impact on their communities in 2013 and beyond. Through connecting young people to community and faith-based organizations, the 2013 Youth Resolution Project will ultimately reduce rates of violence, high-school dropouts, bullying…while influencing youth leadership, positive choices and connections to faith-based and community organizations. Dozens of leaders have signed the online pledge. Will you make the Youth Resolution? (http://youthresolution.com/2012/12/21/adultpledge/) http://youthresolution.com/adultpledge

“In order for there to be a future, we have to preserve our youth, their morals, and make sure that they achieve the best out of life. We have to put them on the path to achieve,” said Project Co-Creator/Hip-Hop Artist Shatiff.” Young people are encouraged to make the pledge online. Get involved by sharing opportunities for mentorship or volunteerism, becoming a partner organization or media outlet, or joining one of several volunteer committees: planning/events, in-school outreach, marketing, or partner programs. Or, simply sign and share the online pledge. Youth Resolution Project was created by Hip-Hop Artist SHATTiFF, Smile Nationwide community organizers, Think Brown INK, in partnership with Dreams Work, Inc., Will Rap 4 Food Inc., The Fellaz Youth Foundation, and other organizations (mailto:http://youthresolution.com/partners/).
