EVO Dining’s Executive Chef and Co-Owner, Albert Maykel III has also spent years of working in some impressive kitchens including Worcester Country Club, Pearl Oyster, and Tatnuck Country Club, he would take the helm of culinary operations in his own restaurant, opening the doors of EVO Dining in 2008 with sibling and Co- Owner, Celeste Zack. His menu at EVO is accessible and fresh, featuring an array of inventive dishes pleasing the diverse clientele they serve. While his guests enjoy a stellar menu in- house, his true talents are best reflected when cooking for private dinner engagements, fine dining cuisine, and multi-course menu tastings. It is here that Chef has the freedom to experiment and create, and where he truly shines as a culinary master.
“We decided to host this event because both Chefs were looking for ways to work together and we just knew they would create something amazing” says Celeste Zack, General Manager of EVO Dining, who will open for this private event on a Monday night when they are normally closed. “We thought that this was also a great opportunity to create awareness for a cause that we had supported earlier this summer, The UMASS Colorectal Cancer Fund. It really opened our eyes up to how preventable this type of cancer is and we wanted to do the right thing by calling attention to something that affects our health and that impacts so many.” Celeste and Albert’s brother, Dr. Justin A. Maykel, Chief, Colon and Rectal Surgery, UMass Memorial Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Surgery, University of Massachusetts Medical School, is leading the way in the fight to educate and spread awareness about Colorectal Cancer and early detection screening here in Central MA.
