Maribel Gonzalez Promoted to Chief Operations Officer

Jan. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Maribel Gonzalez has been promoted to chief operations officer at Synergyst Research Group and Discovery Clinical Trials, effective Jan. 1.

“Maribel has been with the organization for more than a year and has done an excellent job in implementing improvements in the recruiting, finance, and operations departments,” said Trudy Madan, founder and chief executive officer of Synergyst Research Group/Discovery Clinical Trials.

“She has brought a fresh perspective in analysis and metrics, and her skill set will enable us to continue to grow and fulfill our 2013 goals.”

Gonzalez had been serving as vice president of finance and operations at Synergyst Research Group/Discovery Clinical Trials, which works with physicians in Texas and Florida to find, promote and conduct medical research studies.

Her previous positions include executive director of finance at USAA, lead financial officer at American Express Financial Advisors and director of finance at American Express. She also has served as president of the San Antonio chapter of the Texas Green Network.

“I am thrilled to be part of a dynamic, fast-growing company, and I’m looking forward to more challenges in 2013,” said Gonzalez, a native of South Texas and a graduate of Texas A&M University-Kingsville with a BBA in accounting.
