PRLog - Jan. 2, 2013 - Light House Studio Dubai in association with renowned filmmaker, Philip Bloom, will host an intensive three-day Video and Film workshop this January. To be held from 17th to 19th January 2013, at Light House Studio in Al Quoz, the course will cover exhaustive training on video and film equipment as well as lighting and post-production. Participants will explore various editing workflows techniques, significance of audio in the post-production, study on creating the perfect ambience and analysis of clips from shooting exercises.
This 3-day course costs Dhs. 3000 and will highlight detailed analysis of DSLR, accessorizing the filming kit, recording sound and time lapse on the first day. Day two and day three will focus on advance level of filmmaking. Participants will have practical experience on lighting setups, large sensor camcorders and detailed comparison of cameras, information on various sliders, dolly’s, steady camera and cranes. The course will also include a shooting exercise, which will be analysed on the final day of the workshop where participants will explore various editing exercise from their shooting exercise from the previous day.
Philip Bloom, a renowned British filmmaker known for his DSLR filmmaking, blogs and cinematography, will conduct the entire workshop. Considered as one of the new breed of digital cinematographers, Philip Bloom has become one of the leading world evangelists for the low budget film look as well as one of the largest influences on DSLRs for video by utilizing cameras like the Canon 5DmkII and more recently the Sony FS100, F3, Canon C300 and the new slow motion beast the FS700.
