Today, the Sorority continues the mission started by its founders. Delta Sigma Theta has over 250,000 members worldwide, including 239 in the Collin County Alumnae Chapter. The Chapter will commemorate the founding of the Sorority with a special program that is free and open to the public. Members who are celebrating 25 and 50 years with the Sorority will be recognized at the event. The details of the event are as follows:

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., www.deltasigmatheta.com was founded in 1913 on the campus of Howard University. Today Delta Sigma Theta Sorority has over 250,000 members and more than 900 chapters worldwide.
The Collin County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., www.dstccac.org, was chartered on March 30, 2008. The Sorority uses its Five-Point Programmatic Thrust of economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement to create its national programs.
