PRLog - Jan. 1, 2013 - HOUSTON -- Japan is famous for exporting good quality used vehicles and Japanese engines and parts. Japan exports to almost every country but there is always shortage of merchandise. Availability of All Japanese Engines for United States market is getting tougher. Japanese exporters are not like exporters in any other country. Japanese exporters are very trust-worthy and very dependable but they will never start dealing with a new customer for a particular country unless there is a strong reason for that. Normally the importer or buyer tries to pay a bit higher than his competitor but even this will not work in Japan because Japanese companies respect and cherish the relationship. They will never dump or undercut their old customers just because someone wants to pay a bit more. This is the reason why there are very few importers in United States. Most Japanese Companies speak mostly Japanese and their knowledge of English is very basic. Most suppliers have already built years of relationship with their old customers therefore there are very few out there who will even agree to do business. Honesty, Trust and relationship is in Japanese culture. A friend of mine has been importing Japanese Engines & Transmissions from Japan for last fifteen years but he never got cheated by his supplier. He does most of his work on phone and email. He probably visits Japan once in five years.
Japanese companies have higher standards. They set a great example to the world. Even though Japanese Yen is unfavorable to import from Japan but to speak the truth there is no place in this world where you can buy engines from...we mean good, low mileage engines & transmissions. Therefore many prefer to pay marginally higher price if they can import. Due to high demand it is difficult to get a good assortment of Japanese Motors & Japanese Transmissions in one container. Only those importers are successful who have great network of suppliers in Japan. This is the reason why there is aggressive competition in Japan. It is probably easier to import auto parts but it is difficult to get a good assortment of motors & transmissions. In short those who can import and have been doing for a long time have done a great job and will always have an edge over salvage yards in United States who don't sell low mileage & tested motors. Japanese Quality is the best !
