Major tourist hubs like Sydney, Shanghai, Dubai, London, HongKong and several cities of India celebrated the much-awaited occasion with fervour.

·         New York New Year Celebration: Revellers gathered in Times Square, New York and greeted the New Year with much pomp and gusto. Thousands cheered as the New Year officially began and a blizzard of colourful confetti fell on the famous square.

·         Dubai New Year Celebration: The world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, formed the centrepiece of Dubai’s New Year celebration. Locals and tourists celebrated the night by witnessing amazing works on light, water and fire that was displayed through a 210-metre long screen

·         Goa New Year Celebration: Although the celebration in India was roughly as spirited as before, Goa somehow caught up with the festive spirit and welcomed 2013 with dazzling displays of fireworks and astounding music.

Welcoming the New Year, Mr. Anup Kumar Keshan, CEO of Travel and Tour World said, “The year looks promising for the travel and tourism industry.”
