RMJ Technologies has provided a fleet management system that combines GPS technology with engine diagnostics to improve the productivity and efficiency of fleet operations for EMWD since March of 2009. With the use of this technology, EMWD has experienced zero at-fault speed accidents, dramatically reduced the district’s liability, saved over $1million, and paid for the implementation of the system in just the first 2.5 months of use.
EMWD supplies potable water, wastewater collection and treatment, and recycled water to a community of approximately 675,000 people in the Western Riverside County including eight local water agencies and municipalities that have their own water departments. With a service area of approximately 555 square miles, EMWD is the fifth largest water district in California. EMWD employees approximately 650 employees and operates a fleet of over 600 vehicles which includes approximately 350 on-the-road vehicles including sedans, pick-up trucks, vans, heavy duty service trucks, dump trucks, and tractor trailers.
“RMJ Technologies works with a variety of public agencies and private companies to help them use GPS vehicle tracking systems and other fleet optimization technologies to reduce fuel costs, maintenance expenses, liability, emissions, and other important line items,” said Jerome Toliver, CEO, RMJ Technologies. “We are incredibly honored to be recognized and receive this prestigious award from a public agency for which we have the upmost respect.”
