Chef Padua is a native Washingtonian and graduated from Baltimore International College with a Baking and Pastry Arts degree. His love for structure and eye for detail gave way to him mastering the fundamental skills of baking and creating unique pastries. MaCray is adept at all phases of hairstyling, coloring, cutting and extensions. “I have never wanted to specialize in any one area dealing with hair,” MaCray states. “It’s everything together that creates pizzazz.” He also has added full make-up to his repertoire.
After growing up in the small Virginia town of Stuart, where he began his career in nearby Martinsville, MaCray moved to Chicago in 2010. There he joined the AJ’s of Chicago salon. His work since has been featured on “Oprah” and AOL TV, and his clients have included Jill Scott. Now MaCray jets between Divine Essence salon in Virginia and AJ’S of Chicago -- where he is a star on the new reality series "Chicagolicious."
