Dec. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- It has been a busy and exciting time at  Trod Nossel Productions and Recording Studios (http://www.trodnossel.com) in Wallingford CT. Below are some of the notable projects that have come through recently:

Jane Zhang (http://en.janezhang.com/), Chinese diva extraordinaire, and her 15-pc live band spent several days at Trod Nossel Studios recording and rehearsing for their US tour while performing in CT at Mohegan Sun Casino Arena (with Gary Chaw). Jane has an impressive list of collaborators including celebrity pianist Lang Lang, musicians and singers  David Foster, Andrea Bocelli and Andy Lau, Jacky Chang and composers and musicians Tan Dun and Kitaro. Her song "Painted Heart" was the most downloaded song, with nearly 20 million downloads and won a series of awards for Annual Best Song in greater China.  Jane Z. made her first U.S. TV media appearance as a guest of The Oprah Winfrey Show together with Simon Cowell, where she performed live in the studio. She was also the first Chinese singer invited to walk the red carpet at the Grammys.

Trod Nossel Artists',  Beau Badrick (http://www.beaubadrick.com), continued work with Earl Cohen (Lady Gaga, Usher, Pink, Will Smith, Destiny's Child, etc.) on his live version of,   "Can't Help Falling In Love With You,", (http://beaubadrick.com/wpbb/2012/11/20/new-release-teaser/) also videotaped and to be released soon.

CT Native and The Voice finalist, Avery Wilson, stopped in for a run of his Christmas CD, ""A"Very Merry Christmas."  Avery is best known for being part of Team Cee Lo (Green) who dubbed him his "golden child" on this past season of The Voice.

Long time recording client, Soul Tempo, recorded a jingle for radio stations.  The gospel foursome with incredible vocal ability have been doing their thing for many years, with a plethora of successes under their belt including an on-camera singing part in "The Preacher's Wife" with Whitney Houston and Denzel Washington when director, Penny Marshall became an instant fan at their audition.  They have also collaborated and worked with another long-time studio client and Grammy-winning producer, Chris "Big Dog" Davis,  on some other projects.

Some key players in  Barry Manilow's touring band (http://www.barrymanilow.info/band.htm), including his MD, came in with long time musician and friend, Joey Melotti, to bang out some original tunes between performances at  Foxwoods Resort and Casino in CT. Besides Joey, Ron Pedley, Russ McKinnon, David Rosenblatt, Kye Brackett, Muffy Hendrix and others were in the studio.

David Harrison, owner and proprietor of publishing company, Harrison Songs, has been working on masters for his publishing and master catalog. He engaged Beau Badrick for vocals, vocal arrangement and instrumentation on "Runaway Dreams," and Howard Jeffrey for his title, "It's So Easy." Both Howard and Beau are regular studio musicians, have been/are managed by Trod Nossel, and are both writers for our publishing companies.

Charles Bourget and Tom Larkum have been in the studio quite a bit with their classic rock band,  Crossroads.  The band, currently doing a "keepsake" CD of 12-14 songs, is a touring band that raises money for various charities. No member takes pay - it is 100% charitable.  The next event they are doing is  tonight, December 28, 2012, at Rockledge Golf Club in West Hartford, CT. Details on that event can be found  here (http://www.crossroadsbandct.net/Events.html). Looks like a great reason to celebrate an early New Year's for a great cause.

Zerd1 / Sidetract have been diligently working on their repertoire of hip hop fusion.  They have spent a considerable amount of time in the studio over the past few months working on a full-length album entitled, "Derailed." Videos, tour dates, and new info can be found on their  YouTube Channel (http://www.youtube.com/thesidetract). This is one to watch!

Classical pianist Tamila Azadaliyeva was in filming and recording her debut music video at Trod Nossel Studios which is being produced by long-time client Bill Rodman who brought in and orchestrated the   "Together We Can Change The World" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsUu_eQmUIg) project a few years ago with a choir of homeless orphans from Uganda.  The song, which is a featured number in the original musical   "Letters to Daddy," (http://www.letterstodaddy.com) has made headlines everywhere and has been licensed and performed on six continents.
