Stretch Physiotherapy Founder Focuses on CPD For the Benefit of Her Clients

The founder of a local and well regarded physiotherapy clinic has demonstrated her passion and commitment to her field by studying for a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, alongside her regular work commitments.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 27, 2012 - After graduating from the University of East Anglia with a First Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy, Eleanor Searle founded Stretch Physiotherapy & Pilates. She set up the organisation in order to offer help and support to those suffering from a range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, sciatica and sports injuries.

Though the clinic is fast gaining a great reputation in the local community for its exceptional standard of care, Eleanor is committed to broadening her knowledge of physiotherapy to ensure patients receive the most effective treatments possible. She has already established herself as the only APPI qualified Physiotherapist and Pilates instructor in Chelmsford, yet Eleanor wants to take her professional development one step further by completing a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy with the London Southbank University.

Having already completed her hip, lumbar spine, acupuncture, imaging interpretation and medicines management modules, she recently passed her cervical spine module and now has just her research methods and dissertation to go.

So why would a fully qualified physiotherapist choose to work towards such a challenging post-graduate qualification?

“At Stretch, we’re committed to delivering the highest level of evidence-based care to our clients,” explains Eleanor. “As a physiotherapist, I appreciate the fact that my field is constantly changing and evolving. I want to make sure my approach achieves the very best results for our patients, so I think it’s vital that I continue studying throughout my career.”

And it’s clear that Eleanor has been keen to surround herself with a team who share her passion for education. All of the staff at Stretch have undertaken some form of postgraduate study. For example, physiotherapist Amanda Peck is currently studying for a qualification with the Australian Institute of Physiotherapy and Pilates to develop her skills in exercise rehabilitation. Gemma Davey, the clinic’s senior massage therapist, has trained at the Premier International Sports Academy and has completed a number of diplomas to further her knowledge of the latest massage techniques and their applications.

Stretch Physiotherapy & Pilates is based in Chelmsford, boasting a wide range of musculoskeletal physiotherapy expertise in their well equipped private clinic.  In addition to offering specialist physiotherapy, the team also offer massage treatments, acupuncture and one-to-one Pilates training.
