Neo Natural: The Convention Brings Empowerment for Natural Hair & Culture to the Triad

Feb. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Greensboro, NC, Tuesday, February 5, 2013—Lady Bizness, Inc. presents Neo Natural: The Convention, Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 6-10 pm at the African American Atelier located in the Greensboro Cultural Arts Center, 200 N. Davie Street, Greensboro, NC 27401.  Neo Natural: The Convention is an evening of cultural exploration that contains a symposium style panel with the goal of educating the community on stereotypes, healthy hair care, fashion, lifestyle, and products that can benefit women.  Chisa Pennix-Brown, founder of Neo Natural: The Convention exclaimed, "We wanted to bring something unique to the community, and to women in general, to let them know that beauty is all over and being our authentic selves is where that beauty can be found."

The Convention features a panel of highly esteemed women and men in the Natural Hair Industry and those that have a vested interest in the pride of African American Culture.  There will also be a Natural Hair Competition plus a Model & Indie Designer Competition.  Workshops and exhibitors are available through the entire event.  Panelists include Jackie White of the African American Arts Store located in Four Seasons Town Center,  Malaika Tamu Cooper Founder of the Exodus Natural Hair Tour, Oraje Nefertum of Brooklyn, New York's Oraje's Holistic,  Sandra Dubose; North Carolina's only Bald Beauty Queen of Self-esteem, Chanel Washington; owner of Indigofera Beauty and a host of other beauty and style professionals.

In addition, we will feature hair demonstrations from Deshawn Spears of Carol's Daughter, live makeup demonstrations by students from Aveda Institute, and much more. The first 50 attendees will receive complimentary Naturalz.Biz Boxes with promotional items from our sponsors. Admission to the show is only $20 until March 1, 2013 and then $30 after, which includes admission to the convention, exhibitors, demonstrations.  In addition, an after-party will be hosted at One17 Sofabar and Lounge located at 117 N.
