The Ars Nova String Trio is establishing itself as an important presence in the chamber music world. The members of the trio have performed in many of the greatest halls including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Severance Hall, and in international venues. They have experience performing in festivals including Marlboro Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Tanglewood, and Chamber Music of the Rockies. Ars Nova is: Jennifer Kozbial (violin); John T. Posadas (viola); and Adam Satinsky (cello). Musicians of Ars Nova have collaborated with eminent artists such as Edgar Meyer, Joseph Silverstein, James Ehnes, Jeremy Denk, and members of the Cleveland Quartet and Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
Their program will include Beethoven: String Trio in D major, Op. 9, No. 2, Jean Françaix: String Trio in C major; Mark O’Connor: Appalachia Waltz; and Ernõ Dohnányi: Serenade for String Trio in C major, Op. 10.
Upcoming Classical Afternoon Series concerts are Pianist Priscila Navarro (Jan. 27), and Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Starling Chamber Players (Feb. 12).
