Innovative Non-profit Dedicated to Gamification in Education Launched

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 25, 2012 - Bloomfield, NJ Dec 25, 2012: Game Changers in Learning, Inc. is a New Jersey-based non-profit dedicated to helping schools bring gamification (http://www.gameframes.org/) to the classroom to improve student achievement and foster a culture of learning.

To do this, Game Changers offers schools:

• A library of GameFrames - a resource that educators can use to “gamify” teaching within schools with little additional effort.

• The Game Changers Portal where teachers can access a growing library of GameFrames they can use within their classroom and interact with other teachers.

• On-site Teacher programs at no cost that show teachers how they can “gamify” instruction in their classrooms.

• Ongoing support to sponsoring schools that they can follow to continuously improve the way they apply game-based techniques throughout their curricula.

Game Changers in Learning (http://www.gameframes.org/) is co-founded by Julian Malnak and Ed Del Gaizo, specialists in the field of learning and game enthusiasts. Del Gaizo explained “For the current generation of students in primary school, gaming is practically a part of their daily experience.” Malnak added, “So we thought, why not use game based techniques in education to spur innovative teaching practices and spark new ways to engage learners.”

As part of its launch, Game Changers in Learning plans to hold a series of breakfasts for educators in the Northern, Central and Southern NJ areas.
